AKB48’s Watanabe Mayu is on the cover of the latest edition of Weekly Playboy that was released today.

After Golden Week, it’s finally time for the weekly magazine to return to the kiosks. The magazine is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, and so they’ve decided to collaborate with AKB48 for a bunch of special projects.

Starting with this edition (No.21), fans can look forward to extra-large posters of various members, which will run in the magazine from No.21 to No.24. With the renewal, the price of the magazine also dropped by 50 Yen.

Watanabe Mayu has the honor to be the first girl on the cover of the redesigned Weekly Playboy. In the actual pictorial, she teases about her upcoming photobook, “Mayuyu“, which will drop on May 13th. The digital Weekly Playboy pictorial will be released on the same day as the photobook.
