歌手・浜崎あゆみのミュージックDVD総売上枚数が5/9付週間DVDランキングで231.3万枚に達し、モーニング娘。が持っていた「アーティスト別歴代ミュージックDVD総売上枚数記録」の230.3万枚（今週の売上枚数含む）を上回り、女性アーティスト部門のトップに立った。

アーティスト別歴代シングル総売上枚数で女性アーティスト部門１位の記録を持つ浜崎が、ミュージックDVD総売上枚数記録でも女性アーティスト歴代1位となった。

『A 50 SINGLES ～LIVE SELECTION～』（4月20日発売）が0.9万枚（総合9位）、『ayumi hamasaki Rock’n’Roll Circus Tour FINAL ～7days Special～』が0.6万枚（総合18位）をそれぞれ売り上げ、浜崎のミュージックDVD総売上枚数は231.3万枚におよぶ。

浜崎は先週5/2付週間アルバムランキングで、4作同時発売のリミックスアルバムが1970年1月のLPランキング発表開始以来、アルバムでは史上初の4作同時初登場TOP10入りの快挙を達成。また、同日付週間DVDランキングでも、ミュージックDVD史上初の女性アーティストによる1・2位を独占するなど、記録を更新し続けている。

According to Oricon’s Weekly DVD ranking for May 9th, pop queen Hamasaki Ayumi has officially become the female artist with the highest music DVD sales in Japan!

The previous record was held by Morning Musume, who has sold approximately 2.303 million DVDs since their live concert DVD “Morning Musume Memory Seishun no Hikari” was released in 1999.

Hamasaki’s most recent music DVDs “A 50 SINGLES ~LIVE SELECTION~” and “ayumi hamasaki Rock’ n’ Roll Circus Tour FINAL ~7days Special~” – which sold nine thousand and six thousand units respectively – have pushed her total sales to 2.313 million units, surpassing Morning Musume’s record by ten thousand units.

Ayu broke other Oricon records just last week when her four remix albums charted in the top ten on the Oricon album charts, making her the artist with the most albums to rank in the top ten simultaneously. She also became the first female artist to hold the top two positions on the music DVD ranking when her two music DVDs were released on April 20th.
