Weekly magazine “Weekly Playboy” is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year, and so they’ve kicked off their renewal campaign by collaborating with popular idol group AKB48. When the magazine drops its first renewal issue on May 9th, fans will get to see AKB48 posters at 48 main stations in all 47 prefectures, as well as the JR Akihabara station.

The posters have several variations – one features 8 members in a single poster, but there are also individual member posters as well. Each station gets the pair of an individual as well as an 8-member poster, the models for which varies station by station. Some highlight members who come from that hometown, but not all.

Huge AKB48 fans can see 10 of these posters hung side by side at some of the larger stations, such as JR Shinjuku station. The stations in the areas that received the most damage from the March 11th earthquake – Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Ibaraki – will each get special versions which feature all 48 members.

The posters have a QR code, so the fans can scan the code with their cellphones, and enjoy the video message from the members. To add a personal touch, each poster includes a copy of the members’ signature and handprint.

If you’re in Japan and you’re an AKB48 fan, be sure to enjoy these posters while you can, as they will be available in stations for a week.
