Kodansha’s newest edition of Magazine Special has just gone on sale, featuring a special collaboration chapter with Mashima Hiro’s “FAIRY TAIL” and “RAVE” manga.

Characters from both manga will appear in the special chapter, and the story begins with the two heroines searching for Natsu of “FAIRY TAIL” and Haru of “RAVE” in a town where they’ve both gone missing. In addition, to commemorate the collaboration, QUO cards (cards which can be used at convenience stores, gas stations, etc) featuring the title page illustration will be available for free to those who apply for one. Applicants must include a 700 yen stamp.

Furthermore, in this edition, many popular illustrators have gotten together to create an “AKB48 Art Gallery”, a collection of color illustrations of AKB48 members.

The collection will feature drawings by Yoshikawa Miki for Itano Tomomi, Kobayashi Toshihiko for Kojima Haruna, Seo Kouji for Watanabe Mayu, Nanba Atsuko for Maeda Atsuko, and Miyajima Reiji for the members of sub-unit Not yet (Oshima Yuko, Kitahara Rie, Sashihara Rino, and Yokoyama Yui).
