On Finland's EMI website you can listen to the complete Bassflow Remake of Speak To Me.

Enjoy!

Now, Roxette have announced that the second single from the album will be ‘Speak To Me’. And the single release will have something new for fans who already own the album, as there’s going be a new edit of the song as the main version. This news should interest some of you readers, even if you aren’t Roxette fans, as the new mix in question is by Bassflow aka Peter Boström! Even if you don’t know the name, you’ll know his work, as he’s written or produced for everyone from Alcazar to A*Teens, Carola to Charlotte Perrelli, and E-Type to Elin Lanto. Most recently in this year’s Melodifestivalen, he produced each of the winners of the first three heats; Danny’s ‘In The Club’, Sanna Nielsen’s ‘I’m In Love’, and Eric Saade’s ‘Popular’. We also recently wrote about the last Bassflow mix which was used as a single’s main edit, Salem Al Fakir’s ‘Split My Personality’.

The Bassflow mix of the new Roxette single hasn’t changed it too dramatically, and it’s still got that classic Roxette sound which made the original edit stand out so well on the ‘Charm School’ album. It’s kept the song as a haunting ballad, just replaced a lot of the instrumentation with deep electro synths throughout. ‘Speak To Me’ is definitely an excellent choice as the next single, and Bassflow is of course a brilliant choice as the new producer brought in to spruce things up. The song has echoes of both of our two favourite Roxette songs of all time, ‘I Wish I Could Fly’, and ‘It Must Have Been Love’.
