Globally-renowned producer Teddy Riley’s group Rania has finally been unveiled.

Rania held their debut stage following a showcase on the 6th at Hong Dae V Hall in Seoul.

Rania is a massive-girl group trained by DR Music President Yoon Deung Ryong, who previously stirred up the Korean Wave with BabyVOX. The group has also been gathering attention partly because producer Teddy Riley, who have produced hits for pop stars like Michael Jackson and Black Street, had produced the tracks for Rania for their debut.

At the showcase, the 7-international members performed their debut song ‘Dr. Feel Good.’

The song has been written by Teddy Riley, and it is a trendy pop style that combines hip hop and R&B. The Members, wearing tank tops and tight skirts, made a powerful impression with provocative choreography and shocking stage directions.

After the stage, Rania said, “We’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. We are so excited and happy about our first stage. We are glad to finally debut. We are looking forward to what’s to come.”

“They trained for 4 years,” said Rania’s agency. “So they put in their all for the showcase. Rania members can all sing and dance, so they’ve been praised as an unusual rookie. We’ll try our best to make them become the best with vocal skills and visual.”

The members also added, “First, we want to be loved in Korea and then in Asia and the U.S. as well.”

Rania is a 7-member girl group with members, Semi, Riko, Jui, Di, Joy, T-ae, and Xia. Among them, Joy is from Thailand and dreams of becoming ‘the second Nichkhun.’ Riko is Korean but grew up and was educated in Japan. All 7-members are said to be fluent in Korea, English, Chinese, Thai and Japanese.

At the showcase, Producer Teddy Riley sent a video message about the group.

In the video, he said “I want to introduce Rania to the American market. I’m going to develop them into a global girl group like the Spice Girls and Pussycat Dolls.

Riley also added, “Both of my songs for Rania were originally given to Lady Gaga. They are powerful songs featuring the mix of hip hop and R&B styles.”

The members stayed in Los Angeles for quite some time working on the album.

Although Riley was busy working on Michael Jackson’s legacy album, Riley took control of Rania’s music, stage concepts, choreography and costumes.

Following their showcase on the 4th, Rania will perform debut case on ‘Mnet Countdown’ on the 7th, KBS 2TV ‘Music Bank’ on the 8th, and SBS ‘Inkigayo’ on the 10th.

Rania makes their debut on M! Countdown

After much buzz and over a year of anticipation, the ladies of Rania finally make their debut on today’s Mnet’s M! Countdown with their debut single, “Dr. Feel Good“.

The group is comprised of Semi, Riko, Jui, Dee, Joy, T-ae, and Xia; Joy is from Thailand, and Riko is a Korean-Japanese. The girls are reportedly fluent in English, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and Korean.
“Dr. Feel Good” delivers a powerful sound with an addictive melody, a combination that Teddy Riley assures can’t be found in other girl groups. Despite his busy schedule, Teddy Riley also took time to direct everything from their music, stage concept, choreography, and outfits.
