Britney’s back on top with her seventh studio album (Jive), "Femme Fatale," Spears debuts at #1 on the HITS Album Sales chart and the Billboard 200, with a total of 279k. Her last release, 2008’s "Circus," sold 505k in its first week, though that came out in December of that year. This is Britney's sixth studio album to debut at #1. This now puts her in a tie with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson for most #1 albums from a solo female artist. Congrats B! Source
