Popular singers, actors, and entertainments under the management of Les Pro Entertainment – including Aragaki Yui, Hada Michiko, Yoshikawa Hinano, and Ikeuchi Hiroyuki – revealed on the 27th that the company has several plans to help raise money for earthquake relief.

The company’s main project, “Les Pro Happy Charity Project”, had been in the works as early as last year, in order to coincide with Les Pro’s twentieth anniversary. After the Tohoku earthquake, however, Les Pro decided to change some of the details and began their anniversary charity project slightly earlier than planned.

After totalling the amount of money donated by both the company and their talents, Les Pro already amassed ¥35 million (approximately $430,000 USD) for the Japanese Red Cross. In addition, the Les Pro staff and talents will also visit several places around Japan to carry out another activity called “Les Pro Fundraiser”, which will collect funds from Japanese citizens who were not as heavily affected by the earthquake.

Les Pro Entertainment will be pairing up with the clothing brand UNIQLO in order to raise funds as well. While no concrete details have been unveiled, it has been confirmed that all proceeds from the collaboration will be given to the Japanese Red Cross and “Save the Children Japan”, an independent organization which assists countries during times of natural disaster.
