CSJH the Grace’s Stephanie (24) greeted fans for the first time since her back injury through a recent interview with QTV’s “Real Interview, Chunmoo Stephanie” program.

QTV was able to head over to Los Angeles and catch an interview with the dancer. While they were recording, Stephanie gave a painfully frank confession of what her mentality was like during the period of her injury. “Two years ago, I injured my back before our Japanese concert and wasn’t able to move. For six months, I couldn’t leave the house, and I suffered from loneliness and depression.  Everything had disappeared, but through rehabilitation, I was able to overcome everything and begin a new life as a ballerina.”

Stephanie began ballet at a young age, and had even won the most prestigious award at a ballet competition from the World Association of Artistic Talents when she was 12 years old. After winning the daesang in singing at an SM Entertainment audition, however, she put aside her dreams to become a ballerina, and headed off to Korea to pursue singing.

She mused, “One day, I would like to stand before my fans and sing again, but for now, I want to focus entirely on ballet.”

Thordal Christensen, artistic director of the Los Angeles Ballet, praised, “Inside Stephanie lies both power and serenity. Physically and skill-wise, she’s very multi-talented. Stephanie will definitely become a great dancer.”

Check out the full broadcast at 10 PM KST on March 18th through QTV.
