"This extravagant funeral service violated multiple regulations. Therefore, the 3,000 RMB deposit has been confiscated and donated to a charitable cause. In addition, the 30,000 RMB redwood coffin prepared for the mother has been incinerated at the request of the government." A town worker said.

Another town worker said that the "troubles" for Mr. Lin have not ceased yet: "The helium balloons released during the funeral service represent another violation of regulations. The Weather Observatory will be imposing sanctions. The public security bureau is gathering other evidence which will be handled in accordance with the law."

The town worker also revealed that the key to the sports ground was provided by a vice-principal of Xinhe Middle School. This vice-principal is a friend of Mr. Lin. 治喪流程多處違規
3月4日上午，當地企業主林大宇及其家人耗資600萬元，在浙江溫嶺新河中學的操場上為母親辦了一場豪華的葬禮。葬禮現場8輛加長林肯轎車，數十輛豪車，幾十門禮炮，千人鼓樂隊，甚至還現場派錢。不僅嚴重干擾了學校的正常教學秩序，浩浩蕩蕩的送葬隊伍和殯葬車輛還使當地交通一度陷入癱瘓，在當地形成了惡劣影響。

新河鎮一名幹部說，按照該鎮的規定，治喪戶向新河鎮人民政府辦理治喪手續時，除提供相關證明外，還需交納文明治喪承諾金3000元。

“由於此次奢華葬禮的當事人違反了多條規定，其所繳納的3000元承諾金被沒收，捐給慈善事業。”一位工作人員表示。據介紹，葬禮現場的氫氣球也是違反規定的，氣象部門會按規定進行處理。

當事人公開道歉
目前，“豪華葬禮”事件中去世老太太小兒子、某企業業主林大宇已代表家人，通過媒體向新河中學師生和溫嶺全市人民道歉。

林大宇說，當初只是心想父親過世早，母親把他們兄妹拉扯大不容易，想最後送母親隆重一點，沒想到會造成如此嚴重的後果，他對事件表示深刻反省。

林大宇說，為母親舉辦的這次葬禮嚴重違反了浙江省和溫嶺市有關喪葬管理的規定，給溫嶺造成了惡劣影響。他對事件表示深刻反省。

“追悼會在學校操場舉行，嚴重影響了學生學習，影響了教學秩序，同時也影響了周邊交通。我代表全家人向新河中學師生表示深深歉意，向全市人民表示深深歉意。”

林大宇表示，在努力辦好企業的同時，今後要多關心社會公益，多做慈善事業，希望能彌補過錯，承擔更多社會責任。

引導企業樹立正確的財富觀
溫嶺市委宣傳部部長林慷介紹，3月4日葬禮當天上午，接到報告後，溫嶺分管副市長立即率公安和有關部門人員前往處置，制止違規喪葬行為，分流疏散參加人員，維護交通秩序，防止發生意外事件。當日，溫嶺市委市政府召開會議，專題研究“豪華追悼會”事件。會議指出，這是一起嚴重違反喪葬管理規定，嚴重擾亂社會管理秩序的事件，性質嚴重、影響惡劣，要求要嚴查此事，同時，責成相關部門、新河鎮就此作出深刻反思。新河中學具體經手操場出借的一名副校長隨即被停職。

3月8日晚，溫嶺市在詳盡調查基礎上召開黨政聯席會議，專題研究“豪華葬禮”事件處置情況。會議決定，同意涉事的新河中學校長的辭職申請，已停職的副校長被免去職務，協助操辦追悼會的溫嶺國稅局辦公室主任也被免去職務。會議還決定對新河鎮黨委政府進行通報批評，取消事件責任人所在企業“明星企業”評選資格。

針對這起事件，溫嶺市委市政府還要求全市上下認真執行市委市政府關於喪葬禮俗管理的規定，形成依法、文明、節儉辦喪的良好社會風氣，著力提升市民素質和文明程度。

“接下來，我們全市還將圍繞‘做一個新時代企業家’這一主題，組織開展宣傳教育活動，引導企業家樹立正確的財富觀、消費觀，增強社會責任意識、公德意識和法紀意識，盡自己所能回報社會。”林慷表示。
