Guess where Miss Montreal's from. Go ahead. Guess. Did you say The Netherlands? Well, you're correct. Anyway, this band's got a bit of an amateur Melissa Etheridge vibe about it. There's a little bit of grit in the lead singer's voice, but still a bit of femininity and it's a nice balance. The album is pop/rock at heart, but there's a little country twang to it. Overall, it's a great heartfelt album and you'll like it if you like bands like Automatic Loveletter or Stalingrad Cowgirls.
