Here's the thing.. this could have really been an awesome body of work. But it just tried too hard. At least when Stripped and Back to Basics came out, there were more solid songs to break up the moments of experimentation. This album doesn't have that. Some ballads are in there, totally chock full of over singing, and they aren't cohesive. "Lift Me Up" is "Beautiful" on steroids with a bad case of 'roid rage'. Again..trying too hard.
