Surely the whole doowoop retro sound – popularised by Amy Winehouse and the like – was finally put to bed last year. Not so much for rapper Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek who make up Reflection Eternal. The duo are mixing Motown with hip hop and ‘American Boy’-singer Estelle delivers some raspy vocals. Check out their new video ‘Midnight Hour‘.

Reflection Eternal is a hip hop duo composed of rapper Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek. They released their first album, Train of Thought, in 2000. They are currently working on their second album, Revolutions Per Minute, and have released the mixtape, The RE: Union, in late December 2009. Reflection Eternal's second album Revolutions Per Minute is expected to release May 18, 2010.
