Florence & the Machine

Florence Welch has wasted no time in capitalising on her recent Brits triumph (she and her Machine walked away with the Mastercard album of the year award for ‘Lungs’); just a few short weeks after racing back into the top 5 with a Dizzee-fied version of ‘You Got The Love’ and a re-release of her 2008 single ‘Dog Days Are Over’ is already upon us.

The track originally came with a low budget video (Welch said afterwards, “[It] was so cheap…it was a video camera in a forest, with my Dad and Marks and Spencer sandwiches,”) but someone has since ponied up the cash for a rather more expensive treatment. Check out the new ‘Dog Days’ video below.

尚未正式發行專輯的Florence + The Machine，已率先抱回2009年全英音樂「最佳樂評人獎」加冕，推崇聲浪剎時從四面八方湧入，坐上BBC的「2009年潛力新人」名單第三名，NME除了力挺有加，更邀請參與The NME Tours盛會，登上英倫年度超大型戶外搖滾祭典Glastonbury、Reading & Leeds的舞台，The Guardian Guide讚譽：「Florence + The Machine的瘋狂式藝術流行樂將成為2009年最美麗的聲響」。
　 擔任主唱也是樂團靈魂支柱的Florence Welch，自小受到愛音樂的父母影響，從7歲開始就在婚喪宴會中演出，11歲接受歌唱訓練課程，雖然Florence有著「讀寫障礙」、「動作協調障礙」等問題，卻不影響她追求音樂的熱情和決心，在經過治療後還可提筆撰寫歌曲。由吉他手Robert Ackroyd、鼓手Christopher Lloyd Hayden、鍵盤手Isabella Summers和豎琴手Tom Monger等人建立起的The Machine，成為Florence幕後最大的支撐樂團。2007年組軍完成，短短時間內就擄獲許多人目光，2008年的“Kiss With A Fist”和“Dog Days Are Over”兩支暖身作品，全部擠身英國金榜百大單曲之林。
