紅遍全球的美國流行歌星米高積遜，在寓所懷疑心臟病發昏迷，送院後證實死亡，終年50歲。米高積遜於1958年在美國印第安納州出生，他自小加入樂壇，80年代已經大紅大紫，其多隻唱片在全球熱賣，令他成為樂壇神話，但因為孿童官司而債台高築。
50歲的米高積遜，原定在下月13日於倫敦舉行復出演唱會。米高積遜自小加入樂壇，60年代紅極一時的THEJACKSON5兄弟合唱團，主音就是年僅 11歲的米高積遜，當時的他一舉手一投足已經有大將之風。THEJACKSON5當年成為第一隊打入主流的美國黑人偶像組合，米高積遜的個人魅力功不可沒。
到了70年代，米高積遜開始把事業重心轉到個人發展，1979年的大碟《OFFTHEWALL》奠定他的樂壇偶像地位。1982年，收錄多首大熱作品的大碟《THRILLER》創出至今無人能突破的驚人銷量，米高積遜從此登上樂壇頂峰，成為巨星中的巨星。
但米高積遜最為人津津樂道的，始終是他的造型及台風，他是少數巨星能夠把MOONWALK這類高難度舞步演譯得淋漓盡緻，配合他唱片宣傳的音樂錄影帶，亦帶動了80年代MTV興起。
但到2003年，他被控性侵犯兒童，雖然10條罪名在2005年獲判無罪，但之後債台高築，要變賣加州「夢幻樂園」還債。米高積遜於今年3月宣布復出，並選擇在倫敦舉行復出演唱會。
