Nippon Broadcasting System (aka NBS), a radio station in Tokyo, has revealed that as of March 18th, they’ve collected a total of around 12.1 million yen (~$149,000 USD) for disaster relief. When the earthquake first occurred, the radio station also aired 62 straight hours of programming dedicated to the disaster, with 17 announcers being involved.

The station has been collecting donations since March 12th and will continue to do so until the end of April. All funds are donated to stricken areas through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
