After teasing us over the past couple of days, SECRET’s vocalist, Song Ji Eun, has finally released her digital single, “Going Crazy“, on March 3rd.

After concluding promotions with SECRET just last weekend, there is to be no respite for Ji Eun, who will dive directly into solo promotions with music that she’s never done before.

Composer Kang Ji Won and producer Kim Ki Bum joined forces to produce the R&B/hip-hop sound, combining Ji Eun’s sorrow vocals and newbie rapper Bang Yong Guk’s strong rap. It has a distinct piano rhythm that permeates the song with an imposing sound.

Actress Min Hyo Rin will be supporting Ji Eun’s upcoming solo efforts by acting in the music video for her title track, “Going Crazy.”

The actress was cast because directors believed that her chic image fit well with the song and video’s concept of mystery and charisma. The staff were highly satisfied with their decision, as she was said to have brought a professional mindset and high quality acting to the set. The praise was especially high, since the actress performed without being impacted by the blistering cold.

The full version of the MV will be revealed alongside the release of Ji Eun’s album on March 3rd.

SECRET’s Ji Eun released another teaser photo from her upcoming solo album, but this time, the photo features her rapper from her title track, “Going Crazy“.

TS Entertainment formally introduced the rapper, who was revealed to be a trainee under their company. “Rookie rapper Bang Yong Guk will be participating in Song Ji Eun’s new album. He’ll be promoting with her on music programs, so please give him your support and interest.”

With only a few days left until her album’s release, fans have been expressing both surprise and anticipation over her 180 degree concept change.

SECRET takes on Japanese lessons, plan to advance next year

After wrapping up their “Shy Boy” promotions late last month, the ladies of SECRET have begun preparations for not only their solo activities, but for their Japanese advancement as well.

Through Star News, leader Hyosung revealed, “The members are busily studying Japanese. We’re not planning to rush anything, and will prepare for our Japanese advancement little by little.”

She continued, “We received so much love for ‘Shy Boy’ that it was difficult saying goodbye on our last broadcast. We promised our fans that we wouldn’t lose our rookie mindsets, so we plan to repay everyone’s support with good music.”

Representatives of TS Entertainment further revealed, “There are plans for activities overseas, but they will only be happening once the girls have secured a position for themselves in Korea first. However, we will be advancing into Japan within the year.”
