Platinum-selling artist Secondhand Serenade returns with his highly anticipated third album Hear Me Now.

With the heat of summer in full swing, the next stage of Secondhand Serenade's saga is gearing up for release. Those familiar with the words of John Vesely, the man behind Secondhand Serenade, have lived through his picturesque stories of  life's ups and downs - from the act's acoustic debut, Awake, to the fuller, and more emotionally complex sounds of 2008's sophomore A Twist In My Story. Fans have gravitated to John's heart-on-his sleeve approach. "Hear Me Now" is calling to be heard.

是樂團，也是John Vesely的代稱，一人肩負起Secondhand Serenade的職責，在獨立搖滾界耕耘多時，藉由真誠態度與溫暖聲韻，將都會愛戀情歌，釋放無比熱力與活力的電波，品嚐動人的酸甜苦辣各式滋味，逐一唱至感動內心深處。不光是往成人抒情領域靠攏，同樣包覆Acoustic和Emo元素，成為新世代另類搖滾領域中的一道清流。

　　來自加州的Secondhand Serenade，由John Vesely一肩扛起詞曲撰寫、演唱、吉他/貝斯彈奏等重責大任。父親是位專業的爵士樂家，從小就在音樂薰陶下成長。John花了8年時間加入當地樂團擔任貝斯手，風格從Ska、Hardcore、Rock到Pop無所不包。隨後改以Acoustic吉他創作演繹，學習吟唱詩人John Ondrasik化名Five For Fighting的理念，建立起Secondhand Serenade。2007年自製發行處男之航“Awake”，拿下熱門潛力榜季軍，促使Glassnote Records大為驚豔的簽入旗下，並重新推出首張專輯。隔年趁勝追擊的“A Twist In My Story”，征服Billboard排行各榜，其中單曲「Fall For You」更是狂賣突破百萬大關！

再接再厲，於2010年所發表的“Hear Me Now”大碟，空降US流行榜Top42+Indie榜Top7+數位榜NO.10+另類榜第9名席次，John與捧紅葛萊美獎加冕的丹佛樂團The Fray幕後推手Aaron Johnson齊力操盤。開場的「Distance」，倒灌真誠懇求原諒的心境，傷感歉意情懷四散蔓延，加上John渲染力十足的嗓音驅動，以及弦樂美到掉淚的輔佐，絕對能即刻吸引樂迷所有的聆聽注意；投射重新審視自我的概念，以及闡述生命價值的第一波主打「Something More」，利用琴韻飛揚的順暢包裹，旋律性足夠的引起電台湧入大量點播率；吉他不安的撥奏「Stay Away」，敲打能量滿溢的頻率，再到起伏頗高的「You And I」，都是揮灑流行搖滾的動聽佳曲；交織Acoustic的「Is There Anybody Out There」，透著一顆無助的心，卻欲想突破現狀地戰勝孤寂；最後加值送上B-Side之歌「You Are A Drug」、2008年成名關鍵「Fall For You」的Acoustic獨家版本。

Talking to Billboard Magazine in early 2010, John Vesely promised that Secondhand Serenade's third album would be "more upbeat" than those preceding it. Released several months later, Hear Me Now does include some sprightly tempos, with the energetic "So Long" taking the cake. The album balances its optimism with lyrics about heartbreak and defeatist attitudes, though, aligning Secondhand Serenade with other broken-heart-on-sleeve acts like Dashboard Confessional. ~ Andrew Leahey
