Katy Perry has promised fans won't have to wait long to hear new music from her. Perry, who's single "California Gurls" is released this week in the UK (and predicted to go #1!!) is planning for fans to hear new material from the album, "Teenage Dream", soon.

Speaking to KIIS-FM, "We will have another single out really soon," says Perry.

"Before the album comes out, I think a lot people will be hearing a lot of different songs - it won't just be one song to tide you over until then because it seems a little far away for me actually. I mean the whole world could explode before then."

The 'Hot n Cold' singer also admitted that she is surprised at how quickly time has passed since the release of her last album.

She explained:
"I didn't think it would happen so quick - I was getting used to nine hours of sleep and maybe eating stuff I shouldn't be eating. But they woke me up and said, 'It's time to be a popstar again' - I said this is never going to stop until I die in 2012.

"This record will probably hopefully take me on a fantastic tour and two years later I'll be ready to start a new one - there are already plans for tour dates."

Katy will head to Dublin in afew weeks to guest judge on X-Factor.
