Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed (out February 22nd

As you probably already know, Ellie Goulding has been tipped for great things this year. On February 22^nd Ellie will release her new single ‘Starry Eyed’, followed by her debut album ‘Lights’ on March 1^st.

去年英美樂壇出現不少熱爆新人，當中Lady GaGa便紅透半邊天，到底今年邊個上位新星值得留意，答案肯定非靚女Ellie Goulding莫屬。

英國廣播公司（BBC）每年由百多位樂評人、雜誌編輯、唱片騎師和電台及電視監製等選出當年的新人王，今年的「Sound of 2010」早前公布由廿二歲英國金髮女歌手Ellie Goulding榮登必紅冒起之星，上月英國HMV唱片店亦將她列為「注目新人」。Ellie出道以來廣獲樂評人賞識大讚其風格多變，其曲風糅合Acoustic結他、電子Electronica和未來感的跳舞節奏。Ellie參加家鄉的歌唱比賽被發掘，並以創作人姿態進軍樂壇，她自言希望打造新的未來派聲音，而她早前已獲英國音樂頒獎禮樂評人之選獎。

選舉具公信力
而聲線似傳奇歌手Kate Bush的Marina and the Diamonds則名列亞軍，曼徹斯特三人樂團Delphic則排第三，其他入圍的十五個單位包括樂隊The Drums、Devlin、Hurts和早前來港演出的美國男歌手Owl City。

這個新人榜一向具公信力，皆因以往入選新人例必紅爆，例如07至09年新人王Mika、Adele和Little Boots都先後上位，之前入選的還有Florence & the Machine、La Roux、Duffy、The Ting Tings、Keane和50 Cent亦已獨當一面，看來Ellie爆出是指日可待。
