la Grande Sophie 是名豪放不羈的女歌手,2003年大紅大紫據說是憑藉著《Du courage》那首歌
，她在代表作是2004年的Et si c’etait moi “假如是我”）。Sophie的音樂就是典型的法國流行歌，但是稍微四平八穩了一點。2005年的那張《La Suite》專輯封面很贊，裡頭的音樂風格則是懷舊的Folk Rock，聲音也懶洋洋，兩張專輯可作為法語音樂入門來聽。

But new album Des Vagues et des Ruisseaux made me soften up. Because LGS threw out the rockin' guitars, and even added that beautiful sixties ploppin' bass-sound. Franss, who knows a thing or too about les filles fragiles too, says Quand le mois d'Avril could've been a song written by Pierre Fa. Bonus to the new album is Dis Quand Reviendras-tu, a classic song by Barbara, covered before by (among others) Martha Wainwright, Marie Paule Belle and Wende Snijders.
