Leaves' Eyes組建於2003年，由Theatre of Tragedy（挪威）的主唱Liv Kristine 和Alexander Krull領導的樂隊Atrocity（德國）組合而成，理由很簡單，因為他們倆成了夫妻。也成就了一段婦唱夫隨的樂壇佳話。
Liv Kristine 此前一直擔當Theatre of Tragedy的主唱，樂隊先是專注於gothic metal，之後開始向industrial rock方面轉型，03年7月Liv Kristine與Alexander Krull完婚，但就在一個月後Theatre of Tragedy便在官網上公然宣佈與Liv Kristine決裂，理由是音樂理念不同無法繼續合作。
Liv Kristine與Theatre of Tragedy徹底斷絕了關係，之後便有了Leaves' Eyes，樂隊在04至06年間出版了2張專輯和3張ep。而Liv Kristine也出過數張個人專輯，最近的一張是06年的Enter My Religion 。
這張04年的首張專輯Lovelorn所講述的是一個愛情故事，而Krull夫婦的愛情結晶Leon Alexander也於專輯錄製完成不久降生，可謂是雙喜臨門。專輯是以gothic metal為主，融合atmospheric, metal 和 classical等多種元素，不過個人認為Liv Kristine的聲音才是專輯的亮點，如果沒有了她，便失去了這一切，當然身為 death metal樂隊Atrocity自然也融合了Symphonic metal、death metal等一些元素，使得專輯更加的豐富。令附他們04年的一張single
