For the third year in a row, singer and multi-talent Nakagawa Shoko, aka Shokotan, held a special live performance on her birthday on May 5th.
It was a very enthusiastic performance for her 26th birthday in front of 2,300 of her fans at the Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo. A giant Beelbou – the demonic baby from the anime, “Beelzebub” made a surprise appearance on stage for the performance of her new song “Tsuyogari“, which is also being used as the ending theme for the currently airing anime.
When Shokotan received the cake with the 26 candles and a birthday song from the audience, she was really excited and screamed, “The cake is burning!!”
About turning 26 she commented, “I want to become a kind and colorful, rocking girl.” (roku = six, as in twenty-six)
Her new song, “Tsuyogari”, will be released on June 8th.
