This week’s Shonen Champion depicts the transition of No Sleeves‘ Minegishi Minami from a child to an adult.
Last week, Takahashi Minami started the series of four special No Sleeves (AKB48) pictorials with her very first solo gravure pictorial. Minegishi already accomplished her first pictorial last fall – in Shonen Champion as well, but that doesn’t mean that this week’s pictorial is any less special.
Now Minegishi is already 18-years-old and she shows off her adult charms for the very first time, letting us guess whether she is still more of a child or already a young adult. The child part of the pictorial features her in a senior high school uniform and a cute swimsuit mixed with a blue hoody. “I’m obsessed with hoods right now,” she commented.
In the Q&A, she revealed a couple of more interesting things. For example, she thinks that a typical childish thing is not to eat things like paprika. She also didn’t like tests at school, especially ever since she had to focus on both school and work. Further, she explained that the after-school karaoke sessions were the most enjoyable times of her high school days.
Now she is in her first year of adulthood, but what does her image of an adult actually look like? She answered, “Drinking coffee as soon as you wake up.” Minegishi also explained what we should focus on in the adult part of her pictorial. She said, “The black swimsuit!! It really makes me look like an adult. In addition, you should pay attention to my expressions!!”
