On April 19th, veteran singer Kim Wan Sun held a press conference for the release of her latest album, “Super Love”.

When asked by reporters whether she had any juniors that she was looking forward to, she replied, “Musically and stylistically, 2NE1 has the feel of a musician. They’re my juniors, but I think that they’re both amazing and impressive.”

She continued, “I also like Um Jung Hwa and Lee Hyori, as well as the healthy charm of After School’s UEE. Looking at them individually, they’re all amazing, talented friends. If I had debuted in this generation, I definitely wouldn’t have been able to compete against them.”

Kim Wan Sun also gave a piece of advice to the industry by stating, “Personally, I like analog music that’s gone through the hands of many. Lately, however, it feels like the industry is too focused on one specific genre. I hope that a more variety of genres are able to emerge again.”

She continued, There are a lot of unique idols lately, and it’s quite disappointing that they’re clumped together and judged as a whole instead of for their individual talents. I believe that once they mature and seek their own music, the music industry will not only become more diverse, but have more to offer as well.”

“Super Love” will drop on April 21st.

Korea’s original sexy singer, Kim Wan Sun, returned with full force this year in celebration of her 25th debut anniversary.

Through her latest photoshoot with “Elle” magazine, the singer proved that she’s still got what it takes to remain at the top. Dressed in tight, form-fitting outfits, Kim Wan Sun perfected a range of looks from modern classic to avant garde.


Staff members were unable to hide their amazement over the way she’s maintained to still retain the sexy features she’s famous for.

Kim Wan Sun commented, “Ever since my debut, the tag ’sexy’ has always followed me. I never knew why I was sexy, as I never tried to look like it. I’ve never once worn anything with excessive exposure, and never wore high heels in my performances on stage.”

She continued, “I love seeing juniors with the nickname ‘the second Kim Wan Sun’, re-create my performances.”


The singer will also be breaking her six-year hiatus this year by releasing her comeback album.

Her official homepage was updated recently with a teaser image that boasts ethereal eye make-up and sharp charisma. Whether Korea’s original sexy queen will appeal to the new generation of K-Pop fans is still up in the air, but older fans are ecstatic about her return.

Her album will feature three tracks, including a rock ballad titled “Super Love“, and is scheduled for release on April 21st.
