After YJ7’s follow-up pictorial for Young Jump not too long ago, the seven girls of YM7 now try to turn the tables with a unique sci-fi gravure pictorial for Young Magazine.
The “AKB48 Jinbocho Gokokuji Taisen” is a gravure/idol battle between the two publishers Shueisha and Kodansha and their respective “young” manga magazines. Last year, Shueisha had similar a event, but back then it was an intern battle between Young Jump and Weekly Playboy, which the latter was able to win. A couple of girls from last year’s battle are actually back again to fight for both teams, but there are also a lot of new faces.
YM7 consists of Kasai Tomomi, Sashihara Rino, Takajo Aki, Miyazaki Miho, Takeuchi Miyu, Sato Sumire, and Komori Mika, and in this edition, all seven of them literally turn into stars. Each of the girls represent a planet that symbolizes all of their strong points just like in good old Sailor Moon fashion.
Check out the pictures below and don’t forget to vote for the girl with the best first impression out of both teams at akb48-yj7-ym7.com. The team with the most votes will win the first round, which will strongly influence the outcome of the overall battle.
