人気アイドルグループ・AKB48の派生ユニット、フレンチ・キスの3rdシングル「カッコ悪い I love you！」が5月11日に発売されることが3月31日、わかった。メンバーの希望により、同シングル収録曲「君なら大丈夫」の着うた配信収益の一部を、東日本大震災被災地への義援金として日本赤十字社に寄付することも決定した。

柏木由紀（19）、高城亜樹（19）、倉持明日香（21）からなるフレンチ・キスは、AKB48のメンバーとして行っているチャリティー活動のほか、ユニットとしてできることは何かを考えてきた。

歌うことで笑顔や勇気を伝えたいという思いにたどり着いた3人は、メンバーの今の思いをこめた応援ソング「君なら大丈夫」を震災後にレコーディングし、シングル表題曲のカップリング曲として収録。メンバーのたっての希望で、同曲の着うた配信収益の一部を寄付することも決まった。

力強いメッセージが込められた同曲について柏木は「今まで歌ってきた曲の中でも一番聴いてもらいたい曲。少しでも前向きな気持ちになれるようにパワーを送りたい」と意気込み、「元気を充電してもらえたらうれしい」（高城）、「みんなで支えあって、これから続く未来を歩いていこうというメッセージを届けたい」（倉持）とそれぞれ曲に込めた思いを明かした。

2日にはTOKYO FMでレギュラーラジオ番組（番組名未定　毎週土・深0：00）がスタート。「この曲とともにみんなで頑張ろう！」というメッセージを全国へ発信する。

AKB48 sub-unit French Kiss has just announced that they’ll be releasing a new single titled,“Kakkowarui I love you”!

The single will be released on May 11th, and all proceeds earned will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society in order to aid the victims of the Tohoku earthquake. The members of French Kiss have been thinking hard about what they could do to help the relief efforts, and firmly insisted that donating their profits was the best way that they could help.

When asked about the encouraging message of the song, member Kawashigi Yuki enthusiastically replied, “This is the song that I want people to hear the most out of all the songs that we’ve sung. Even if it’s just something small, I want to give people power so that they can feel as if they can look forward.” Kuramochi Asuka added, “We want our message of supporting each other and walking on to the continuing future to reach you.”

Beginning on April 2nd, French Kiss will also be hosting their own radio show. Although the title of the show is currently unknown, the girls hope to spread their encouraging messages across Japan.
