MAXIMUM THE HORMONE get first #1 single since debut

After 11 years, rock band MAXIMUM THE HORMONE finally hit #1 on the Oricon charts with their 9th single, “Greatest The Hits 2011~2011“.

The single was released on March 23rd and has sold 81,000 units in the first week, placing them #1 for the first time in their history. The band debuted back in August 2000 and has never had a #1 hit.

The Oricon Weekly Charts for the week of April 4th have just been revealed!

This week, MAXIMUM THE HORMONE achieved their first #1 on Oricon with the single, “Greatest The Hits 2011~2011″, while KARA’s DVD, “KARA BEST CLIPS”, made an impressive return to the top position of the music DVD chart.
