東北地方太平洋沖地震により、被害に遭われた皆様に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。一日も早い復旧をお祈り致します。
2011年3月11日に発生した東北地方太平洋沖地震の影響により、4月6日に発売を予定しておりましたAKB48 3rdアルバム「ここにいたこと」の発売を延期させて頂いておりましたが、この度AKB48として活動させて頂く「誰かのためにプロジェクト」の一環として、“今の日本を一日も早く元気づけたい！” また、“待っていて下さるファンの方々からの熱いエールにお応えしたい”という志の下、6月8日に発売をさせて頂く運びとなりました。
AKB48として、少しでもお力になれたら…と、このアルバムの収益の一部を、東北地方太平洋沖地震の義援金として寄付させて頂きたいと思います。

AKB48 was forced to reschedule the release of their first studio album due to the devastating Tohoku earthquake earlier this month, but an announcement on the group’s official blog has confirmed the new release date for “Koko ni Ita Koto”!
Despite making their debut over six years ago, AKB48 has yet to release their own original album, as all their previous album releases were either stage albums or best albums. According to AKB48’s blog, “Koko ni Ita Koto” has been pushed back until June 8th. This is most likely due to the disruption that the earthquake had on the production schedule.
In the meantime, fans of AKB48 can purchase a digital download of “Dareka no Tami ni ~What can I do for someone?~” to aid disaster relief, or tune in to Music Station on April 1st to watch their performance.
AKB48 announces their 21st single release + the 3rd general election for their 22nd single

It’s been announced that AKB48 will hold “AKB48 22nd single senbatsu general election,” which will be the 3rd election to be held. Maeda Atsuko came out on top of the 1st general election in 2009, and Ohshima Yuko was the top selection of the 2nd general election in 2010.
They also announced that AKB48 will release their 21st maxi-single (title unknown as of yet) on May 25th, and they will donate a part of earnings of this single and their upcoming album “Koko ni Ita Koto” for earthquake relief.
Further details on the 3rd general election and their 22nd single will be announced later.
