日本地震創傷未平，演藝圈則持續為地震災民獻愛心，據日本媒體報導，日本天團SMAP組合的五名成員，已以個人名義，向日本紅十字會捐出4億日幣（約台幣1.443億），傑尼斯偶像團體KAT-TUN成員田中聖則自行開車帶著物資前進災區幫助朋友，福山雅治則決定將在4月9日主持一個長達24小時的電台特別節目，為大家加油。

根據日本媒體報導指出，在地震發生後，SMAP立刻行動了起來，他們並沒有經過商量，而是自發的每個人都捐了款。雖然彼此的捐款數額都不一樣，不過總額超過了4億日幣。成員們一直以來都沒有公開表示自己捐過款，只表示「我們只是做了自己能做的事情。」SMAP所屬傑尼斯事務表示：「他們確實捐了款，但這只是大家的心意，所以我們沒有公開消息。」

KAT-TUN成員田中聖在2006年的「24小時電視」中，和住在宮城縣的身患怪病少年武田捷治相識，因擔心災後武田捷治的狀況，26日晚上，田中在車上裝滿了大米、水、罐頭、速食咖喱等救援物資，一個人趕到了宮城縣。27日，他和武田君的父親、武田君3人一起，趕往多賀城市內的避難所，給災民們分送救援物資，並為災民加油打氣。

SMAP recently held an interview with Daily Sports News and it’s been revealed that all five members of SMAP have donated more than 400 million yen altogether ( Approximately $4,866,760 USD) to the Japan Red Cross. This donation was not made under the group SMAP, but they personally donated the money individually after what happened after the earthquake.

In addition to their personal donations, all the members donated their appearance fees for the March 21st episode of “SMAPxSMAP” on Fuji TV. Kusanagi Tsuyoshi also donated donated his appearance fee for FNS special music program, which aired on March 27th.

The March 21st episode of “SMAPxSMAP” had a change from the usual show as they changed their theme to “How can we help right now?” and asked the whole nation for donations through their show. Additionally on “SMAP Ganbarimasu!!” on TV Asahi, which is scheduled to air on April 2nd, they had created a corner related to the earthquake disaster. The members of SMAP are taking the initiative in supporting the reconstruction of the earthquake.

The members of SMAP didn’t say a single word about their personal donations but only stated, “We are only doing what we can do to help right now.” Johnny’s Entertainment has confirmed that SMAP donating money but refused to reveal the exact amount of money because they didn’t donate to be in the news but rather to support the people affected by the disaster.
