A few days back, IU got to perform as the opening act for her role model, Corinne Bailey Rae, when she stopped by Seoul for her Korean concert. Today, “One Night in TV Entertainment” aired IU’s excited reactions when she finally got to meet the singer-songwriter backstage!

IU gushed, “I love her as much as I love my mom. I can’t even speak properly, and my hands are shaking!”

Unable to contain her excitement, IU later added, “I love Corinne-ssi more than my mother!” and went on to reveal that that it was because of Rae that she picked up the guitar and found the strength to carry on, even after failing over 20 auditions in a row.

When told that IU wanted to hear her play the guitar, Rae happily agreed, and the two performed a duet on the spot. IU shook off her nerves by continuing to exclaim, “This has to be a dream!”

IU最近對自己和申奉善相像一事發表了看法。在劉世允、張東民、劉尚武主持的MBC FM4U電臺節目“源泉和夢想廣播”中，IU被問道“對和申奉善相似一事怎麼看”，IU笑著回答說：“我媽媽也這麼覺得。”

她繼續說道：“有時我也覺得像，特別是眼形和下巴附近非常像。第一次看到申奉善姐姐時嚇了一跳，比想像中的漂亮。奉善姐姐越看越漂亮，有很多魅力。”

劉世允和劉尚武說：“申奉善是我們的後輩，意外地是有很多魅力和眼淚的朋友。”但是張東民開玩笑說：“申奉善這樣的故事在這裡不能說。”引發了笑聲。

IU recently talked about her resemblance to comedienne Shin Bong Sun.

The singer appeared on MBC FM4U’s ‘Pond and Dreaming Radio‘ and answered the following question from one of the listeners, “What do you think when you hear that you look like Shin Bong Sun?“. She laughed it off and answered, “My mom says I look like her too“.

She continued, “Sometimes I even think I look like her. I think our eyes and mouth area look similar. When I first saw her, I was surprised because she looked much prettier than I expected. If you keep looking at her, she is very pretty and also has a lot of charms”.

The MCs, Yoo Se Yoon and Yoo Sang Moo, said “Shin Bong Sun is our junior; she surprisingly cries easily and has a lot of charms“.

MC Jang Dong Min joked, “Shin Bong Sun, you can’t send in questions like this!“, making the entire cast laugh.
