The Japanese gaming industry is gearing up to assist the victims of the tragic earthquake and tsunami by making significant monetary donations. Nintendo and many of the gaming companies have announced their wishes and prayers to the people affected by this devastation.

SONY has announced that they will be donating 300,000,000 yen (approximately 3 million dollars) to disaster relief. SONY is one of many companies that are collecting donations from employees from their companies around the world. On top of this massive donation, SONY has decided to donate 30,000 radios to the victims of this disaster.

SEGA will be donating 200,000,000 yen and have also expressed their wishes to make additional donations at a later time.  CAPCOM and BANDAI both have announced a donation of 100,000,000 yen (approximately 1 million dollars) to disaster relief. TECMO KOEI has announced that they will be donating 10,000,000 yen (approximately 125,000 dollars) to the Japanese Red Cross. They have also expressed that they will be taking individual donations and will forward them to the Red Cross.

All gaming companies are showing that they care, and are doing everything they can to help the victims of this tragedy. They have expressed that they are even taking small steps by conserving electricity so that victims will be able to get enough power themselves. They are extending their prayers for the people affected by this disaster.
