Although it’s only been three weeks since IU kicked off her promotions for “The Story Only I Didn’t Know“, she’s already wrapping up her promotions this weekend.

Filming for “Dream High” might have concluded a while ago, but IU has already taken on new jobs, with a new SBS sitcom on the horizon and a hosting gig with “Inkigayo“. IU has thus decided to end her promotions in order to concentrate fully on her upcoming activities.

Musing over her new position as a MC alongside fellow newbie, B2ST’s Kikwang, she expressed, ”When I think about doing a live broadcast every Sunday, I get nervous. Also, I will learn a lot from Jo Kwon oppa and Sulli, so that I won’t make any mistakes.”

To give fans a nice parting gift, she performed “Cruel Fairy Tale” for the first time!



IU三首歌躋身非法下載榜前十位


人氣歌手IU的三首歌在非法下載榜——“Webboard 排行榜”上排在前十位。據南韓著作權聯合會11日發行的雜誌《著作權保護》顯示，IU的《我不願意這樣做》、《第一次分手那一夜》、《好日子》分別排在非法下載榜的第二、第三和第七。白智英的《那女人》位居該排行榜冠軍。

IU在去年12月發行的第三輯主打歌《好日子》受到歌迷熱烈追捧，蟬聯音樂排行榜冠軍。IU還通過KBS偶像劇《Dream high》首次挑戰演技。

On March 10th, singers Lee Hyori, Jang Jae In, and IU attended Corinne Bailey Rae’s first ever Korean concert.

IU opened up the stage for the international star, and added to the bright atmosphere surrounding the event. She said that she was honored at having to perform for the star, as she previously revealed that Corinne Bailey Rae was her role model.

Corinne Bailey Rae performed over 20 songs with live instruments that really solidified her reputation as one of the best vocalists in music. Lee Hyori, who recently revealed her interest in the guitar, was seen thoroughly enjoying the concert alongside Jang Jae In.

The “musician couple,” Yozoh and Lee Sang Soon were also spotted, plus vocalist Shin Hyo Bum, and f(x)’s Krystal, who stole the hearts of the male audience around her by arriving with a bare face.



“IU Candy” to be sold by ‘Tous les Jours’ for White Day

Even though the drama is over, the “Dream High” fever isn’t cooling down any time soon.

Tous les Jours (owned by CJ), is planning to sell the ‘couple lollipop’ that Jason (Wooyoung) gave to Pilsook (IU) in the drama.  Also referred to as the “Dream Candy”, the cheerful, colored lollipop is supposed to represent the love between Jason and Pilsook.

According to a representative of Tous le Jours’, “Because the characters (Jason and Pilsook) gained lots of popularity for their charming love on ‘Dream High’, we’re pleased to release this candy.”

They added, “On White Day [March 14 - the Korean version of Valentine's Day, where guys buy chocolates for girls], we hope that many people will be able to experience that beautiful love that we saw in the drama.”

The special lollipop is a special limited edition item that will be available only over the next 10 days. Would you get your significant other an “IU Candy”?


The‘Milky Couple’ lives on – more IU and Wooyoung cuteness!

2PM’s Wooyoung recently surprised IU by pretending to be a fan of hers on the phone!

When IU guested on the radio program, “Lee Soo Young’s Music Show“, she took a call from a very avid ‘fan’. Wooyoung pretended to be a boy from Busan who idolizes IU; consequently, when he first ‘learned’ that he was talking to IU, he kept saying, “Am I talking with IU? Is this really IU???”

Wooyoung pulled out his acting skills to make his voice sound really shocked and nervous. When Lee Soo Young asked the fan why he liked IU, he replied “There’s no specific reason“. He said that all of his friends liked her, and loved seeing her on “Dream High“. Hilariously, he also told her not to talk to ‘Jason’ anymore because he’s “a bad person“.

The fan revealed himself to be an ‘aspiring singer from Busan’, and he wanted to sing a song for IU. He belted out the chorus from 2PM’s “Again & Again“, as IU listened on with amazement. Lee Soo Young was quick to pick up Wooyoung’s voice, and scolded, “Wooyoung, please stop!”, but IU remained clueless, even commenting that he sounded like either Wooyoung or Junsu.

When Wooyoung finally admitted his identity, IU was shocked and couldn’t hold back her laughter. Afterwards, she grabbed a sheet of paper to fan her face, and said that she couldn’t believe it was really Wooyoung. The two asked each other why they both haven’t been keeping in touch, and Wooyoung revealed that he was busy promoting in Japan.

Near the end, he commented that he listens to IU every night before he goes to sleep and requested IU’s song, “Slowly Slowly“.
