On the 7th, Hewlett Packard Japan (HP) announced its five new laptop models.
To show off the new laptops, AKB48 members Kojima Haruna, Miyazawa Sae, Takajo Aki and Yokoyama Yui were selected as the CM characters.
The estimated cost of the 5 models are anywhere between 40,000 yen to 60,000 yen (~487 USD – ~730 USD) and on April 7th they will begin selling the “HP Mini 2010-2100 Special Edition” laptop in pink plaid to gear it towards female users. The battery life for the special edition is 8.5 hours and shops are predicting it to be around 50,000 yen (~609 USD).

Nine members from AKB48 have teamed up to create “Team Pichipichi NHK”. The group was created to do PR for NHK’s new spring programs.
Each member will be in charge of a specific genre, and will be promoting from the middle of March until the middle of April! They will appear on mini programs and posters.

These days, you can’t go anywhere in Japan without encountering AKB48. Out of all the idol groups, the members of AKB48 are the ones who work the most.
Up until now, the member’s salaries have been a secret that the media hasn’t looked into. However, ‘YUCASEE MEDIA‘ has done some research and created an estimate of the girl’s annual income, in addition to compiling a ranking of the top five earners.
So, which AKB48 member earned the highest annual figures? The ranking is as follows:
