According to figures from EnterBrain released today, Nintendo’s new hand-held gaming device “NINTENDO 3DS“, which went on sale on February 26th, has sold 371,326 units in only two days. The best-selling software for the device was “Layton-kyoshi to Kiseki no Kamen“, selling 117,589 units.

The 3DS is the NINTENDO DS successor and boasts 3D-imaging that can be viewed without special glasses. These qualities have made the ground-breaking device the talk of the season. Consumers had high expectations for the 3DS, as could be seen in the long lines forming outside of large electronics stores right before it went on sale.

The NINTENDO 3DS was released first in Japan, and should be released in America and Europe in late March.
