桑田佳佑、完全復活！　ソロ新作が16年半ぶり首位

初期食道がんの療養から複帰したサザンオールスターズ・桑田佳佑の8年半ぶりのオリジナルソロアルバム『MUSICMAN』（2月23日発売）が初周 27.3萬枚を売り上げ、3/7付周間アルバムランキング首位に初登場した。桑田のソロアルバム首位は、前作のベストアルバム『TOP OF THE POPS』（2002年11月発売）以來8年3ヶ月ぶり通算4作目。オリジナルアルバムの首位は『孤獨の太陽』（1994年9月発売）以來16年5ヶ月ぶりとなった。

Arashi’s “Lotus” tops Oricon Weekly Chart

Arashi’s 35th single “Lotus” has sold 541,000 copies in its first week, making it number one this week on Oricon’s Weekly Single Ranking.

“Lotus” is Arashi’s 24th consecutive first place single since “PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE”, which was released in February 2004, and is their 31st overall. Arashi has held their first place position for eight consecutive years.

“Lotus” is also the theme song for the drama “Bartender” which, Arashi member, Aiba Masaki stars in.

KARA tops Oricon Weekly DVD chart

8220;Girl’s Talk” received a platinum certification from RIAJ by selling more than 300,000 copies. Additionally, the RIAJ has certified their single, “Mister” as double platinum (over 500,000 sales) under the “Ringtone” category. Now, the girls are doing big things with their DVD sales.

On February 23rd, KARA released their “KARA BEST CLIPS” DVD and Oricon has just updated their weekly DVD ranking chart showing KARA at the top with 132,132 sales. In addition, their “Girl’s Talk” album is still going strong placing 9th on the Oricon Weekly Album chart. Congratulations to the girls.
