Arashi member Sakurai Sho introduced his new commercial series for the “Oronamin C Drink” (Otsuka Pharmaceutical) at a PR-Event in Tokyo today.
The popular drink is already celebrating its 46th anniversary this year. Sakurai will be featured in its newest series of commercials titled “Genki no Genbo” (scene of vigor) in which he is going to visit various places and people that the Japanese can be proud of.
The very first edition that is airing right now simply works as an introduction to Sakurai Sho’s character and the concept of the series, but the first actual episode is going to start airing on the 12th. In this episode, Sakurai is going to sneak into the construction site of the much-discussed and anticipated Tokyo Sky Tree.
Sakurai’s comment about his visit to the construction site: “It was a really precious experience for me. I’d love to go up the Tokyo Sky Tree once it’s completed, even though I’m not that good with high places. I might get frightened.”
“No, I will be full of energy!” He immediately corrected himself with the well-known slogan of the energy drink.

New CMs for NINTENDO 3DS upcoming game software, “nintendogs + cats“, in which Arashi members Sakurai Sho and Ninomiya Kazunari star, were revealed on its official site. ”nintendogs + cats” is a real-time pet simulation video game which will be released on February 26th.
There are three different CMs released, and in the CMs, Sakurai plays with a Toy Poodle named “Ran”, while Ninomiya takes a Shiba Inu which he named “Arashi.”
