Big Bang has set an amazing record by selling out all their UNIQLO T-shirts within 15 minutes after they went on sale.

On February 5th, 825 UNIQLO stores across Japan began retailing special Big Bang T-shirts in celebration of the group’s upcoming tour.

The brand boasted 10 different designs for the collaboration, and according to the company, every single Big Bang item was sold out within 15 minutes of the stores’ opening.

As of the 6th, fans who were unable to purchase the shirts have been expressing their disappointment by uploading pictures of empty shelves.

The Japanese media were amazed by the hundreds of fan-consumers who lined up outside of the stores before they even opened. For example, the line-up for the Harajuku location stretched all the way to Shibuya, bringing traffic to a standstill in the area.

Starting in May, Big Bang’s “Love & Pain Tour” will make stops in Osaka, Chiba, and Nagoya for a total of seven concerts. The tour is expected to bring in a 90,000 member audience.

The boys of Big Bang will resume their activities in Japan this April, which will include a new single, a concert tour, and a collaboration with Japanese fashion brand UNIQLO. The collaboration between the two will involve tour goods for their upcoming concerts.

They’ve created eight shirts and four hoodies, all starting at ¥1,500 ($18.36 USD). Recently, Big Bang created a special promotional video for UNIQLO, check out the video message below courtesy of bigbangupdates:

All merchandise is currently being sold at various UNIQLO locations, as well as online here.
In addition, there’s been some fan reports that there was a long line of people with some waiting from 2AM for the store opening in Harajuku, as fans were waiting in line to get their hands on the Big Bang clothing.

(I’ve only been to one UNIQLO store in Paris and it was packed with fashionable shoppers, the brand has potential to become very popular in America in the near future.)
