R&B singer AI recently released her new album, “The Last AI“, on December 1st, but her video for the featured track, “Let it Go feat. Snoop Dogg“, has only just made its way online.

The song was originally released on her “STRONGER feat. Kato Miliyah” single back in October as just a b-side. Luckily for fans, the song was popular enough to warrant a video release and a place on the new album.

Snoop Dogg appears in the video next to the R&B star AI rapping his mellow lyrics from a throne. AI changes her style in the video multiple times; rocking everything from a flowing kimono to her new shaved head fashion and green hair.

The collaboration is just one of many with Western musicians on her new album. AI also teamed up with famous singers Boys II Men, Chaka Kahn, and Judith Hill, making this album quite the unique collection of collaborative tracks.

“The Last A.I.” will have 11 tracks in total, the majority of which are collaborations with top performers. Some of these guest performers are also A-list American superstars! Snoop Dogg, Chaka Khan, and Boyz II Men have all contributed their vocal talents to AI’s album, thereby building mass interest about the album’s sound.

A PV DVD will be included with the ‘limited edition’, which comes with the music videos for “FAKE feat. Namie Amuro,” “One More Try feat. Chaka Khan,” and “Let it Go feat. Snoop Dog.” The “Stronger feat. Kato Miliyah” music video will not be on the album collection and will only be available with the purchase of the single.

AI「伝説NIGHT」にATSUSHI、チャカ・カーンら17組集結
AI holds 10th anniversary live at Budokan 武道館

On November 29th, R&B vocalist AI held a special live called “Densetsu NIGHT” at the Tokyo Nippon Budokan to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her major label debut.

The live was filled with special guest appearances from fellow artists, including tap dancer Kazunori Kumagai, SPHERE, DABO, JESSE (RIZE), CORN HEAD, BOY-KEN, AFRA, Char, DELI, Zeebra, Anty the Kunoichi, Anna Tsuchiya, PUSHIM, AK-69, Kato Miliyah, ATSUSHI (EXILE), and Chaka Khan. Many of her collaboration songs were performed with the special guests, and she also covered many of her top hits, such as “I Wanna Know,” “Believe,” “Story,” and “Okuribito“.

For the encore, a special message from Jermaine and Marlon Jackson played on the video monitors at the venue. This video announced that AI would be doing a special collaboration with THE JACKSONS, who were reuniting. AI will also be the host for the world’s first Michael Jackson tribute live which is planned for Fall of 2011.

We previously announced the details on AI’s upcoming album “THE LAST A.I.“, which will be out on December 1st. The vocalist has recently released the album art, and some insight regarding the title of the album.

AI’s new jacket photo is certainly as provocative as her title – the singer stands completely in the nude, sporting on a tattoo with the title of the album down her side. This is definitely a new look for the artist, as she tends to be fairly conservative on her covers.

When asked about the meaning behind the word ‘Last’ in her album title, the artist responded with “I still can’t say.” She quickly smoothed it over by adding, “Do I want to stop singing? I wouldn’t do that! I want to shoot for the Grammys, to give my music to Japan and the world.”

The comment was certainly a big relief to all her fans who have been wondering if the new album would be the final release from the R&B queen.
