The film's theme song will be "Unmei no Shizuku ~Destiny's star~" (運命のしずく～Destiny's star～?, lit. "Drop of Fate ~Destiny's star~") by Girl Next Door. Three different versions of the single will be released on December 22, 2010.

男女３人組ユニット、ＧＩＲＬ　ＮＥＸＴ　ＤＯＯＲが、１２月２３日公開のウルトラマンシリーズ４５周年記念作品「ウルトラマンゼロ　ＴＨＥ　ＭＯＶＩＥ　超決戦！ベリアル銀河帝国」（アベユーイチ監督）で、初の映画主題歌を手掛けることが２８日、分かった。

　オーケストラを交えてウルトラマンの壮大な世界観を表現したダンスフルなポップス「運命のしずく～Ｄｅｓｔｉｎｙ’ｓ　ｓｔａｒ～」（１２月２２日発売）で、ガルネクの元気で力強く若さあふれるイメージがピッタリとして起用された。

　プロモーションビデオ（ＰＶ）も注目だ。光と闇の戦いをテーマにウルトラマンゼロら出演ヒーロー１１体と共演。映画の重要場面とＰＶが連動した内容で、総勢１１体が集結するのはシリーズ主題歌ＰＶでは史上最多。企画・制作の円谷プロも「仲間たちと切り開いていく未来への希望や、宇宙に生きる無数の命を慈しむ心、大切な人々との絆など千紗さんが歌い上げる詩は、歴代のシリーズが伝えてきたメッセージに通じている」と期待を寄せる。

　映画はウルトラセブンの息子であるゼロと次世代の若きヒーローたちが大活躍する物語。３人は「小さい頃に慣れ親しんだあこがれのヒーローで、しかも４５周年の記念作と聞いて興奮しました」と喜んでいる。

GIRL NEXT DOOR to sing a theme song for “Ultraman” movie

It’s been announced that musical trio GIRL NEXT DOOR will sing a theme song for the new Ultraman movie “Ultraman Zero The Movie: Super Deciding Fight! The Belial Galactic Empire.” The movie was made to celebrate the franchise’s 45th anniversary of the Ultraman series.

The theme song is titled “Unmei no Shizuku ~Destiny’s star~,” and this will be their first theme song for a movie.

In addition, GIRL NEXT DOOR will co-star with 11 various Ultramans in the PV for the track. The PV will also be linked to the most important scene in the movie.

“Ultraman Zero The Movie: Super Deciding Fight! The Belial Galactic Empire” will be released in theaters on December 23rd. The theme song “Unmei no Shizuku ~Destiny’s star~” is set to be released a day before on December 22nd.
