「布萊恩費瑞Bryan Ferry」喜歡賦予流行音樂宛如一件藝術作品一般的精緻質感，一份跨越時間與空間的迷人氣息，他那彷彿情緒變色龍一般的歌聲可以在不同的歌曲情境與類型音樂做轉換，他可以把流行樂唱得很華麗、頹廢，也可以將懷舊的傳統流行歌曲，烙下優雅動人的當代都會情歌印記，他擅長用歌聲扮演冷眼旁觀的浪漫主義者，訴說傷感的愛情故事，也擅長在撲朔迷離的歌聲氣氛中挑動著性感與誘惑，這位被英國傳媒讚為自1970年代以來的「酷派之王King Of Cool」的藝人，在2010年歲末壓軸，帶來一張融合了上述特色的優質大碟《Olympia》。
Bryan Ferry的專輯除了在音樂風格上綻放濃烈的個人色彩之外，在專輯的影像視覺呈現上，也是以搶眼著稱，從1972年首張專輯《Roxy Music》帶著撩人眼神的模特兒、到2007年專輯《Dylanesque》邀請到電影【控制】導演與視覺藝術家Anton Corbijn進行封面設計，Bryan Ferry總是展現不凡的藝術眼光。《Olympia》專輯名稱是在向法國印象派畫家艾德華馬內1863年畫作「Olympia」致敬，Bryan Ferry特地邀請Kate Moss擔任專輯封面與內頁的模特兒，透過Kate Moss的華麗風情重現這幅經典畫作所呈現的魅力！這是Kate Moss首度為專輯封面與內頁擔任演出，Kate Moss的加入無疑是超級名模與超級巨星跨藝術舞台的完美結合。
《Olympia》專輯是Bryan Ferry自1973年Roxy Music樂團時期的專輯《For Your Pleasure》以來，首度與Roxy Music樂團的音樂夥伴—電子音樂巨擘Brian Eno，吉他手Phil Manzanera，雙簧管與薩克斯風樂手Andy Mackay共同合作的作品，同時也邀請到1982年冠軍專輯《Avalon》的製作名將Rhett Davis參予專輯的製作行列，而且這不只是一張Roxy Music樂團菁英重新聚首的專輯，前來跨刀獻藝的樂手名單簡直就是跨世代的夢幻卡司！包括：在Bryan Ferry真情流露的演唱〈Song To The Siren〉這首出現於電影【蘇西的世界】片尾，迷幻民謠搖滾歌手Tim Buckley在1970年代表作中現身的Pink Floyd樂團吉他手David Gilmour與Radiohead樂團吉他手Jonny Greenwood；在〈Heartache By Numbers〉這首閃動華麗電子樂神采的酷歌中、投入歌曲創作與樂器伴奏任務的紐約復古流行樂團Scissor Sisters；在〈Shameless〉這首流行電子舞曲中與Bryan共同擔任歌曲創作，製作與樂器演出的英國電音時尚組合Groove Armada；在〈You Can Dance〉這首魅惑的流行酷樂中現身，先後待過The Stone Roses與Primal Scream樂團的貝斯手Man；在Bryan Ferry精湛詮釋經典搖滾樂團Traffic 1968年名曲〈No Face, No Name, No Number〉以及Bryan Ferry融合了狄斯可與華麗搖滾風格詮釋John Lennon在1974年全美排行冠軍曲〈Whatever Gets You Thru The Night〉等多首歌曲中嶄露才情的Red Hot Chili Peppers樂團貝斯手Flea。而在專輯裡頭擔綱主要伴奏樂團的成員則有製作過Madonna專輯《Like A Virgin》，同時也是狄斯可放克名團Chic成員的傳奇音樂人Nile Rodgers，還有Michael Jackson最信賴的節奏吉他手David Williams，與曾經跟一代大師Miles Davis交鋒的多樣樂器高手Marcus Miller。此外，曾經參予2002年專輯《Frantic》製作的英倫電子名團Eurythmics玩家Dave A. Stewart也與Bryan合寫多首歌曲。

Redefining the sub-genre of suave-rock, the always debonair Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry returns with Olympia (October 26, Astralwerks), his first solo album of original material since 2002's Frantic. Produced by veteran Ferry/Roxy producer Rhett Davies, Olympia boasts an eclectic guest list -- Pink Floyd's David Gilmour, Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, Flea, Marcus Miller, Scissor Sisters, Nile Rodgers and Brian Eno -- but Davies and Ferry don't really move into unexplored territories as much as they update and embellish the patented style of slinky, atmospheric, beat-driven pop. With a cushioned padding of electronica and dense rock shadings reinforcing Ferry's thankfully unmannered, urbane croon, if this were a cocktail it would be top-shelf liquor, shaken gently and served ultra-chilled on ice.
Much of Olympia follows the "post Roxy/Avalon" Ferry playbook down to the GQ open collar tuxedo shirt and the bevy of writhing models populating the first video for lead single "You Can Dance", a track originally written for a never-released 1996 album that's half gyrating 2am dance floor chic, half stormy drama. We even get the glamourpuss album cover featuring the dolled up Kate Moss. Like the sleek secret agent he resembles, Ferry pulls it off without a bead of sweat in sight, a wink to contemporary edge but mostly burnishing his elegant legacy.
