TOMORROW: FIFA World Cup 2010: KNOCKOUT STAGE DAY 3 REVIEW!

The Goal that could've changed lives, The Goal that never was. England were denied a blatent equaliser by a numb-net referee who's not good enough to be mentioned on this site. This 'Goal' would've tied the scores at 2-2 and potentially changed the game. Germany went on to win 4-1.

England are out. Opinions are split as to how or why and whether they should still be in it or not, the goal that never was, tactical mistakes - the whole package. Right now, we have to deal with the facts. Germany stormed to a 2-0 lead in just over 30 minutes, mostly due to shocking defending on the part of the Brits. It could've been 4 or 5 by this point. England pulled a goal back and minute afterwards scored a legitmate goal which was ruled out for not having crossed the line - it clearly did. Unbelievable. They had chances early in the second half but Germany stole in on the incompetant defence to win 4-1. The game in a nutshell. Agreed, England simply were not good enough. But goals change games, we know that. When a perfectly good, hard fought equaliser is scored off the bar, allow it to stand. If you can;t see it straight away, take 10 seconds out of the game to make sure you get it right! Technology is used every where in life today apart from the world's most popular sport. And these decision's ARE made by Sepp Blatter. You're a TWAT, GET OUT, WE HATE YOU!
Argentina beat Mexico 3-1 today to set up a QF with the Germans. What a mouth watering fight that shall be! They got a controversial offside goal also, which set the tone for the game, but like the Germans they showed that they were a class apart. They totally deserve their placement.

GERMANY 4-1 ENGLAND (ENGLAND ARE OUT!)

克洛泽 Klose nips in past a hopeless English defence to make it 1-0, in a 4-1 drubbing.

波多尔斯基爆射

Shameful for the English nation. We've talked about the big toalking point, the goal that never was. No lets concentrate on the other big talking point - how Shit England were today. It was shambolic from start to finish other than 10 minutes spells at the end of the first and the beginning of the second half. Germany were creating all the chances, had all of the ball, did all of the running, and quite frankly could've been in double figures. Just 20 minutes in, England failed for the first time. A long punt forward by German Goalie Neuer didn't even touch an Englishman before MIROSLAV KLOSE controlled it and ran through on goal, making it 1-0. MATTHEW UPSON had a dreadful game, let the ball over his head, didn't challenge at all. Before England had a chance to respond it was 2-0. Germany using all their pace and power again on the break got the ball out wide where it was crossed on by the menace that is Ozil, and with JOHN TERRY - ENGLAND'S WORST EVER CENTRE BACK BY A COUNTRY MILE not tracking back and leaving LUKAS PODOLSKI in acres of space, he slammed in a shot from a tight angle. Game over...but not yet. MATTHEW UPSON went someway to making amends by heading in a Lampard cross for 2-1, but THE GOAL THAT NEVER WAS scored by FRANK LAMPARD. It did definitely go in. Oh well. Lamps hit the bar with a second half free-kick and the English were determined to win this thing, so much so that Germany blitz them on the break again. Another Lamps free-kick was cleared and Ozil and Klose worked together before teeing up THOMAS MULLER to smash home for 3-1. It was 4-1 just minutes later to rub salt into the wounds. Another break free'd the man-of-the-match Ozil again who carved a simple ball across the backline, England were nowhere and Muller tapped in again for 4. The rest of the match was seen out in humiliation. Sad, dejected, hopeless team, who will cling on to that goal. Legit, but not enough to get you through.
Make no mistakes, Germany were stunning on the break. This was England's worst ever World Cup defeat, and probably their worst ever performance. That's saying something. JT was useless, heck the whole backline was. Gerrard couldn't get his game on, neither could Milner but ROONEY & CAPELLO, hang your heads in shame. You let us down, neither of you turned up to this competition, and I think you both need some sort of a sabbatical from duty. Rooney's no where near Messi, Kaka, Villa. England are no where near anyone in the World, they're a good 10 levels below them.

ARGENTINA 3-1 MEXICO (MEXICO ELIMINATED!)

特维斯 Carlos Tevez scelebrates his controversial first goal, which helped Argentina to a 3-1 victory and put them into the QF. It was certainly offside!

They're through but the Mexicans will be as upset at the English today. Argentina were awarded a soft and blatently offside goal which set the tone for the game. They then went on and dominated and finished 3-1 winners. This wasn't a question of Argies class, let be real here. No team would admit to an offside goal awarded to them in a knockout game. The referees here suck big time, thats the main issue that we have. The fact that this shit was allowed today is just a joke. In both cases though the better team went through. Argentina's first goal came as a result of a couple of richoched shots, one which finally got to the awesome LIONEL MESSI to have a crack with. CARLOS TEVEZ didn't return from his offside position and headed in this fumbled shot. Clearly offside, refs were sleeping, 1-0 Argies. Salcido smashed the crossbar before this piece of controversy, the game seemed slightly equal. It was 2-0 shortly after, Mexican's, blame yourselves for this one. Osorio was left sleeping at the back and gave the ball away to GONZALO HIGUAIN, who doesn't need any second invitations to round goalkeepers and tap into empty nets. Slightly flattering at half-time, and there was a scuffle near the tunnel due to the illegitimacy of that 1st goal. It was even mistakenly showed on replay on the big screens, something thats not allowed.
Argentina killed off any Mexican spirit from the first 20 minutes, just 7 minutes into the second half and there was nothing controversial about this. In probably the 'Goal of the Tournament' so far, Carlos Tevez picked up a loose ball after more poor defending by Mexico and riffled in an arrow into Perez's top corner. What a screamer! It was an absolute bullet from outta nowhere! Argies looked comfortable after this but even so,MExico never gave up and had a few chances of a consolation before JAVIER HERNANDEZ finally scored one. He turned Martin Demichelis who's been as bad as John Terry in this tournament, and slapped a roofer into Romero's top corner. Great goal, just not as good as Tevez's 2nd. Messi could've scored with a great shot in injury time, but as I predicted yesterday it finished 3-1 to the Argies! Great game in store next Saturday!!!
