The sassy duo were headlining the second evening of HMV’s Next Big Thing week, and performed a short set including top 10 single ‘Left My Heart In Tokyo’ and the wonderful but overlooked follow-up ‘I Wish‘. Support came from Girls Can’t Catch and Eliza Doolittle.

Mini Viva also charged through next single ‘Do You Want A Candy’, which the world and his wife will tell you sounds like Mel & Kim meets Girls Aloud – because it does. It’ll be out in May if all goes to plan, with the debut album following later in the year (it was supposed to be out at the tail-end of 2009, but evidently that went a bit tits-up.)

The girls – 19-year-old Frankee and 20-year-old Britt – also unveiled a lovely new song entitled ‘I’m Hooked‘, which WAPS actually preferred to ‘…Candy’. We look forward to the album!
