From the very beginning of her musical career, Jennifer Lopez has sent mixed messages. Is she the hard urban diva you don’t want to mess with, or the pop princess who just wants to have a bit of fun? She tried (and failed) to convince us she was ‘real’ and down with the kids on tracks like ‘Jenny From The Block’, ‘Get Right’ and recent buzz track ‘Louboutins’, but here at WAPS we were more taken by hits like ‘Waiting For Tonight’, ‘Play’ and ‘If You Had My Love’. Judging by her recent lack of chart success, we’re not alone.
Good news though, the first official single (it seems buzz tracks ‘Fresh Out The Oven‘ and ‘Louboutins‘ are not to be mentioned) lifted from new album ‘Love?‘ is the electro-dance track ‘Everybody’s Girl‘. It’s uplifting, catchy and Jennifer’s wannabe-diva caterwauling is kept to a minimum.
‘Everybody’s Girl’ was written by the talented Wynter Gordon and produced by Mike Caren.
