2009 release from the New Zealand singer/songwriter. Her brother and co-songwriter JJ Rika, plays enchanting acoustic melodies to back-up Maisey's spine tingling fusion of English and Maori lyrics. Together with top New Zealand producers, Simon Halloway and Mahuia Bridgeman-Cooper, Maisey has developed a poetic soundscape of Folk, Soul and Easy Listening. Songs on her EP include her break-through YouTube hit 'Children Of Romania', a song based upon orphans in Romania.
Maori singer/songwriter Maisey Rika, has one of Aotearoa's (New Zealand's) most impressive lead vocal style, fused with her honest and thought invoking messages.
