Having seemingly being on the edge of the scene for a long time Slow Club finally get around to releasing 'Yeah So' their debut album.
Forming in 2006 and releasing a slew of singles and an EP through the ever reliable Moshi Moshi over the years and the Sheffield duo have built up a ground swelling of support whose vintage record players will be awaiting the release of 'Yeah So' with itchy needles.
The acoustic two-piece use their limited resources to great effect, they bash and clatter a variety of instruments and can also bring the hush too with sublime intimacy.
Obvious comparisons to White Stripes more stripped back moments are just that, however album opener 'When I Go' has the child like simplicity and innate sweetness of a 'White Blood Cells' track such as 'We're Going To Be Friends' or 'The Same Boy You've Always Known'.

"Slow Club" is the name of a two-piece folk-pop band from Sheffield, England. The band formed in 2006, after the break-up of Sheffield band The Lonely Hearts.

The band is made up of Charles (vocals, guitar) and Rebecca (vocals, guitar, percussion). The band has supported other Sheffield contemporaries such as Tiny Dancers as well as Omaha based band and labelmates Tilly and the Wall, who share the band's alternative, folk orientated sound. The band is notable for their use of unusual objects as percussion instruments such as glass bottles and even a chair.

The band released two 7" singles in 2007, Slow Club and Me and You, both on Moshi Moshi records. On 1 September 2008 Slow Club released their first EP entitled Let's Fall Back in Love, also on Moshi Moshi Records.

Their song 'When I Go' was used in Ritz Crackers commercials in Canada in 2008. Their song 'Thinking Drinking Sinking Feeling' was used in a Lay's Potato Chip commercial in February 2009 in the USA.

They released a Christmas single titled 'Christmas TV' in December 2008.

On 7 April 2009 they announced via their blog that their debut album, which was recorded at Axis Studio in Sheffield, would be entitled "Yeah So" and would be released on 6 July 2009 on Moshi Moshi Records.

On April 27th, 2009, Christmas TV was used in the season 2 finale of NBC's Chuck.
