We’re hyperventilating with lust here over the latest addition to the iPod family - the new shuffle.
Annoyingly, we actually bought a shuffle last month, but obviously we totally NEED the new one in our lives as well. Why, you ask? Well, we’ll tell you why. Oh, we’ll tell you why.
Firstly, it’s half the size of the current model (but still holds 1000 songs), it TALKS (a remote control on the headphones controls this function - don’t worry, it only talks if you want it to), and you can store all your different playlists on there like a regular iPod.
So, if you want your ‘running’ playlist, you can whizz through your playlists while a little voice tells you which one you’re up to! It’s all terribly clever and we’re probably not explaining it very well, so go here for a tutorial. You will want one.
Apple, if you’re reading, please can we have one? Pretty please?

Apple has launched the third generation of its iPod Shuffle. The new Shuffle is half the size of the previous iPod Shuffle - it's smaller than a AA battery. It also has a new feature called VoiceOver that lets the iPod Shuffle talk to you. The 4GB can hold up to 4,000 songs. iPod shuffle can speak 14 languages including English, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
The new 4GB iPod shuffle comes in silver or black for a suggested retail price of $79. The iPod shuffle comes with the Apple Earphones with Remote and the iPod shuffle USB cable.
