Boa - I Did It For Love
As many of you know Boa is set to release her first English album titled "Look Who's Talking" on March 17th!!

First single hasn't made any impact but has managed to peak to #8 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play. Here we have what is set to be the 2nd single titled "I Did It For Love" which is produced and features Sean Garrett. It's definitely a catchy track but whether or not it's going to catch the US audience we will have to wait and see.

BoA recently did a photo shoot for Markus Klinko (famous photographer) & Indrani. Some fans thinks this is an unlike BoA, but it's business. This new photos are to promote her upcoming album "Look Who's Talking", which is supposed to release really soon.

While this is one big step that BoA is taking for her American debut, many netizens have also much to say regarding the photos...




寶兒：希望能參加美國MTV音樂頒獎典禮

[韓聯社首爾2008/12/31電] 2008年10月22日憑藉單曲《Eat You Up》在美國流行樂壇出道的寶兒（23歲），為出演SBS《歌謠大典》等，專程從洛杉磯回國，並於近日接受了採訪。

《Eat You Up》目前排在美國“公告牌(Billboard)”排行榜的“Hot Dance Club Play”榜單第15位，排名不斷上升，但也有人並不看好，認為該榜單不是“公告牌”排行榜的主要榜單。

對此，寶兒表示：“美國音樂市場規模比日本大好幾十倍，因此需要時間投資。打算在3年內像美國的新人一樣一步步前進。目標是在‘Hot Dance Club Play’榜單取得好成績，從而進入主要榜單。還想出演在家裏看過的MTV頒獎典禮。請大家繼續關注。”

在美國活動的2個月裏，寶兒體會到了不同於韓國、日本的另一種音樂宣傳方式。正所謂入鄉隨俗，到了美國，就要學習符合當地的音樂和宣傳方式。

寶兒說：“美國幾乎沒有音樂節目，主要憑藉電臺。娛樂場所的音樂播放次數對‘公告牌’排行榜造成很大影響，也是一個重要的宣傳場所。我還曾親自到夜總會，在我的音樂響起時經著名DJ介紹，向客人們打招呼，並演唱了歌曲。這种經歷還是第一次。”

就像宇多田光、李玟等亞洲地區著名歌手未能在美國市場取得成功，身材嬌小的東方少女寶兒的前途也不會是一片光明。寶兒說：“我的舞蹈表現的不是性感，而是用嬌小的身軀很有力量地展示了類似于男生類型的舞蹈，這讓他們感到非常驚訝。”

與曾經擔任碧昂斯、賈斯汀·汀布萊克、亞瑟小子等流行音樂明星經紀人和音樂製作人的馬克思·古斯(Max Gousse)攜手的寶兒，將於2009年上半年推出第一張正式專輯，正式出道。目前寶兒正在洛杉磯和亞特蘭大同克裏斯托弗·布朗、蕾哈娜、亞瑟小子等流行音樂明星製作人的布萊恩·肯尼迪、肖恩·加瑞特進行錄音。第一張專輯收錄歌曲《Look who's talking》已經公開。

寶兒已經制定了2009年的工作計劃，上半年在美國發行第一張專輯後，就會為等待已久的歌迷俱樂部“Jumpingboa”暫時回到國內進行活動。她還計劃于2月在日本發行新單曲，3月發行精選專輯。寶兒笑著說，要在3個國家用不同的語言開展活動，“腦子比身體還累”。

On second international single ‘I Did It For Love’ she’s teamed up with Sean Garrett (producer for Beyonce, Fergie, Nelly and Ciara among others).

Her eponymous new album feature songs by Brian Kennedy (worked on Rihanna’s ‘Disturbia’), Henrik Jonback (co-writer of Britney’s Radar) and Bloodshy & Avant (producers of Radar – and many more). ‘BoA’ is set to hit US stores on March 17th.
