2007年，當伊娜拉Inara George與全美當今音樂鬼才葛瑞格Greg Kurstin攜手以「小鳥與蜜蜂The Bird and The Bee」為團名，正式推出首張同名專輯《The Bird and The Bee》時，誰也沒料到，他們以揉和60年代迷幻流行音樂與淡淡的電子節拍，竟創下包括〈Again & Again〉、〈F*cking Boyfriend〉、〈La La La〉等多首話題單曲。娛樂週刊Entertainment Weekly盛讚該專輯：「巧妙融合Bossa Nova的慵懶與Beach Boys式的動人風情」。滾石雜誌Rolling Stone則形容：「讓人聞之起舞的流行音樂，猶如聽得見的陽光！」。他們的音樂不但接連被【實習醫生Grey's Anatomy】選用為影集配樂，〈F*cking Boyfriend〉的混音版本更勇奪告示牌Billboard「熱門舞池點播Hot Dance Club Play Chart」冠軍！
有著一雙圓杏大眼的伊娜拉（小鳥The Bird）與葛瑞格（蜜蜂The Bee）相遇於2005年，當時的葛瑞格是名爵士鋼琴樂手，並為其它音樂人跨刀演奏。當兩人決定共組「小鳥與蜜蜂」後，伊娜拉主要擔綱樂團作品填詞、旋律與主唱，而葛瑞格則是一手包辦樂器演奏與專輯製作，兩人共通的音樂理念，激盪出「小鳥與蜜蜂」的調皮風格！此外，這三年來，葛瑞格本人更獲邀跨刀、擔綱製作包括凱莉Kylie Minogue、莉莉艾倫Lily Allen、聖女合唱團All Saints、布蘭妮Britney Spears、妮莉費塔朵Nelly Furtado、蘇菲Sophie Ellis-Bextor、貝克Beck、烈火紅唇合唱團Flaming Lips、希雅Sia...等一線巨星在內的最新作品。

90年代，流行樂壇吹起了一陣以柔美女聲與電子音樂旋律為主軸的個人/團體，Mono、DubStar、Moloko…，一時間在盡是搖滾的流行樂春水上，吹出了一圈圈的漣漪。是以為流行風向球轉向以柔克剛的角度，豈知道這一轉不分左右地成黑色一片。雖說音樂沒有好壞，但聽多了同質性越來越高的說唱嘿呦之後，又不禁懷念那如閒雲野鶴的曲調。
來自南加州的雙人組合The Bird and The Bee小鳥與蜜蜂，一位是師承大師Charles Mingus鋼琴師Jaki Byard、在青少年時期便已是一個爵士鋼琴奇葩的Greg Kurstin，熟稔多種器樂演奏。曾與Beck、Robert Moog合作，並為The Flaming Lips、Peaches及音樂小魔女Lily Allen等製作並創作歌曲。另一位是成長於洛城的音樂世家，父親是70年代著名南方搖滾團體Little Feat的主唱兼吉他手Lowell George，曾發行個人專輯作品All Rise，並已是洛城獨立音樂界噹噹有名的Inara George。在製作人Mike Andrews的介紹牽線下合體而成。
他們共同創作， Inara負責演唱，Greg主理器樂，在創意的發揮上，相互交流，又在樂曲的表現上各司其職。重塑並創新了傳統的bossa nova，The Bird and The Bee希望將自己融會在經典與流行之間。用三年的時光，他們窩在Greg位在加州Echo Park自家錄音室裡與世無爭地創作出10首陽光浸潤且充滿夢幻的作品。每一首歌曲都有著一種神秘獨特的魅力。
從以拍手聲、鈴鼓、大貝斯與Inara慵懶的歌聲拼貼一起的首支單曲〈Again & Again〉；微風般的華爾茲、機械般的低音節拍加上無病呻吟般合音的〈Bird and the Bees〉；如哀樂般開場卻一翻成為百花在舞池中綻放般的輕鬆舞曲〈F-cking Boyfriend〉；莊嚴的銅管樂編曲與伸縮號獨奏複議著Inara傷心歌詞的美麗慢歌〈I’m A Broken Heart〉。在如夢的終場歌曲〈Spark〉之後，漸入的靜默，你會發現自己夢遊在Inara與Greg所導遊的旅程之中。
