耳邊傳來熟悉旋律，聽見『First time』不禁讓人想乾一口玻璃瓶裝可樂，經典廣告歌曲似乎也是八十年代不可遺忘的記憶，1987-1988年美國可口可樂『You Can't Beat the Real Thing』與『Coca-Cola is it』等系列廣告主題曲『First time』，讓演唱者Robin Beck一舉攀上事業巔峰，躍上全球排行，儘管擁有沙啞高亢嗓音，之後卻無法贏得成功商業銷售，而成為另一個曇花一現的歌手。
來自紐約布魯克林區的Robin Beck(蘿賓貝克)，雖沒有受過專業歌唱訓練，卻天生擁有好歌喉，七十年代被音樂人Alex London發掘後便開始學習歌唱藝術，並累積俱樂部與樂團表演經驗。1979年，獲得唱片合約發行首張專輯『Sweet Talk』，邀請當時即將串紅的Irene Cara（艾琳卡拉）及小有名氣的Luther Vandross（路瑟范德魯斯）合作卻沒有受到注意。Robin Beck事業契機來自廣告歌工作，1987年至1988年演唱美國可口可樂廣告歌，同年發行單曲『First time』先後奪得英國、愛爾蘭、德國、澳洲近十國冠軍，法國更創下二十萬佳績，隔年唱片公司趁勝追擊發行第二張專輯『Trouble Or Nothin'』，單曲『Save Up All Your Tears』(德國Top5)與『Tears In The Rain』(德國Top22)是少數打進排行榜的作品，2006年瑞典電音團體Sunblock重新混音『First time』再次獲得歐洲多國Top10。2008.4.25 Joe
